has anyone have an experience or know anything about the situation - "I have a F1 and want to go to H4. Can i work outside with my SSN as I used to do when I was a student say like in places like gas station, restaurants etc" Has anyone done this before..what will happen when you file a tax next year. i have been working outside the college for quiet sometime now and have been filing my taxes every year.

H4 visa does not allow you to work. You can not even apply for SSN while you are on H4. So be careful. See if you can find jobs which pay in cash. This way you will be out of trouble.

First of all, you shouldn't work with your SSN while you are in F1. That is illegal.
Your SSN won't get cancelled if you changed your Visa to H4. You SSN is be still same.
both in H4 and F1, working under SSN is illegal. Tax has nothing to do with your status.
You might get into problem when you seek for other immigration visa like green card or while you travel.
