I just moved to SF, but as it appears, I am having a problem parking my car. Do you guys have any idea where I can park my car? I mean I am looking for an apartment and I think downtown is not a good option because of parking issues. which places around SF is car friendly? any input?? thanks a lot.

usgraduate,
you can consider moving to san mateo/daly city/brisbane/bernal hieghts area. from there u can use public transportation to get to downtown, if u want to avoid the downtown traffic.

US Graduate bro, didn't you just move into the city? Are you here for work or what? I'd highly recommend you to move to Oakland,Albany and Berkeley area. Do you play soccer?

Depends on the week.... There are plenty of soccer teams in the area. Recently, Bay Area Nepali community hosted a soccer tournament and 10 teams participated. Bay Area is pretty huge, too.

Living in Oakland..? Scare...Berkeley..humm not bad..My preference would be albany. Walnut creek side is not bad either but its extreme hot in summer. BART.. best way to communicate around Bay area.
Have fun!

Jangali manab, I didn't suggest downtown or East Oakland. No way I'd ever recommend those places. Somewhere around Piedmont, Lake Merritt would be nice.
Also, I could never live inland. I was in Concord last week and boy, it was hot as hell and I mean, I was literally dripping sweat!
70 Degree weather - that's my summer (I must confess I'd prefer it to be a tad higher, probably in mid 70s), not 85 degrees!
Inland areas must be nice to live in during the winter though. Rainy days in 60s....
