Hi everyone,

My uncle wants to come to US from Nepal on a visitor visa and then find a work. My questions are:

1. It is legal?
2. If legal, how long can he work and what kind of work (a gas station, store, warehouse, etc.?)?
3. Can I sponsor him to stay longer or help him find a work (I am a green card holder and have a regular office job)?

Please share if you have information or had such experiences.

Of course it's not legal to work on a tourist visa.
Everyone does it but it's not legal!!!

From your post, it seems that you are  currently residing in the US. What visa are u in? If a tourist visa holder can work legally, what is the meant for woking visa?

of course pll in tourist visa r working in cash everywhere. But, he has to leave the country within 6 months. He can come back at any time though for 5 yrs ,I guess.
