Hi there,
My mom travelled to me here in state for second time on her tourist visa. I am in H1B. I want to keep my mom here for longer period of time this time. She only has 6 month visa at port of Entry. My question is when can I start processing for H – 4 for her. Do I have to wait till April 1 like H1B filing date or can I start any time of year?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to all

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think H4 Visa is only for spouse and child(ren). You cannot file H4 for your parent(s).
