Rest in Peace



A Nepali student pursuing nursing studies in New York has committed suicide on Sunday, April 15th.

Bhesh Raj Panday, 25, who hailed from Kerung of Agrakhachi district died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in New York. Panday was found unconscious at his apartment in Ridgewood, Sunday afternoon and rushed to a nearby hospital. The cause of death has not been confirmed, however preliminary reports indicate that Panday had committed suicide. According to news reports, authorities recovered poisonous medicine from Panday’a apartment.

Panday came to the U.S. five years ago. He had completed nursing course from Hostos college last year and had worked at hospital in North Carolina for few months.

Shree Parajuli, president of Nepali Ridgewood Society, informed that Panday was a gentle and friendly person but had been very concerned about his career lately.

Ojaswi - well put! I wish there were few people around him to give him hands on rough times. I know life is hectic abroad and no one has time, but wish people took sometime to talk to each other and share their feelings. As we all know we all have to apart one day, but when you are in this heavenly earth we need to share love and care for each other. Say you "love" to your kids/mom/dad/brother/sis more often. Life is short!

I was watching this thread but couldn't share things I know abt him, the fighting even in this thread took place.Wow! that's a bit crazy mates. Anyway, I know him very well from Nepal. Even my parents know him. He's a batch senior than me at Himalayan WhiteHouse(+2). Even our chemistry professor at WhiteHouse used to show him as an example. After he came here I used to speak with him often, a very humble, passionate on his studies, friendly and a guy who never does a harm to anyone. He completed his nursing from Hostos college Bronx NY, and moved to north dakota for a job(tht was the same place where he first came). I spoke to him about a month ago. He was fine but came back from North Dakota to New York. I asked him the reason , he said he didn't like that place and and started working at newstand. Last Saturday when I spoke with my family, I told them that Beshraj dai is back in New York again ,its getting tough to get job and etc.. The day he passed away was Sunday,I had no clue. Monday morning at 7:31 am I called and left him a voicemail" Oh! we haven't talked to each other for a while.(probably abt a minute long voicemail)". I went to skool after. I was in a class and I received the text from one of my friend in Ridgewood. My whole body became blue all of a sudden. I didn't knew wht to do,,tears rolled down my eyes......................I came to know after tht he'd called his parents for his graduation ceremony. There was a shraddanjali samaroha at ridgewood today and the dahasanskar.............Until now there's no post-mortem report yet, so we don't know whether he comitted suicide or was murdered.........MAY GOD GIVE COURAGE TO HIS FAMILY.......REST IN PEACE BROTHER..........U'LL SURELY BE MISSED

Bittertruth: Rot in hell.

dwastha, I feel the pain. I'm extremely sorry for the loss of your loved ones.
Friend of mine died 11 years ago, it was his epileptic seizure, nobody was around and he died of suffucation coz his face was down on the pillow. I know how it feels to lose suddenly you've known for so many years.

My heartfelt condolences to you, your family and everyone who knew him.
