Do we need to have round ticket to visit Nepal for US citizens? Please help.

Nepalibhai: To answer your question, no you don't need to buy round trip tickets to visit Nepal. You can buy 4 round trip tickets if you can afford. Even if you have a valid h1b visa, you don't need two way tickets at all. You can buy one way ticket to nepal and purchase 1 way ticket back to US. The only difference is that you might pay more buying one way tickets from both side.

 You wouldn't need it even if you were living here illegally (that, you wouldn't be allowed to purchase a return ticket is a different matter). 

I think the only time you need return ticket is when you are coming in US in a visa like tourist. So dont worry about anything when you are going back and forth in nepal.

Anybody visiting to US in visitor’s visa needs round trip tickets similarly Nepalibhai was just curious if the same rule applies?  Simple people got simple questions but no one should take it as a stupid question.

 Some of us are too quick to judge others and even quicker to provide responses w/out giving a proper thought. As it is required in the US, visitors on a visit/tourist visa must have a round trip ticket while entering the country, Nepalibhai might have simply been inquiring if visitors (citizens of other countries) need to have a round trip ticket to visit Nepal in order to facilitate the visa process - that's it! 

As simple as that - no need to be hyper folks!

In fact, you don't even need to apply for Nepalese visa in US to go to Nepal if you are a US citizen. You can apply, pay for and get instant visa at Kathmandu airport once you reach at the airport immigration center.  It's ur choice whether you wanna apply over here and get visa or get the visa at airport.
