"The working committee of the Museum has appointed Dahal to the post of vice-president," Museum president Chhitij Arun Shrestha told Nepalnews.
The newly appointed vice-president will work for two years, said Shrestha, adding, “The post is originally for four years. As two years have already passed, Dahal will be at the helm of the affairs for the remaining two years."
Similarly, the committee also nominated professor Dinesh Raj Panta and museum expert Jal Krishna Shrestha as advisers of the Museum for two years.
The Museum was established marking the Eighth South Asian Games in 1999 with an aim to preserve the historic sports-related items inside the premises of the National Sports Council at Tripureshor, Kathmandu.
The Museum is affiliated to both the National Sports Council and the Nepal Olympic Committee. Nepalnews.com/Rajin Rai
