Hey everyone, I know this isn't the best time to be asking this...but I desperately need a little suggestion from you all...

I broke up with my ex about 6 months ago. She was consistantly evil to me and i frankly cant figure out why I loved her (and still do?). Anyway, we broke up when I was abroad and because of the distance it was easy to move on and forget about her. Now that I am home and we are both in MA we are trying to do a friendship thing. Honestly, I dont know what i want. She treated me horribly...not worthy of the title of friend in the least. The problem is that I am addicted to her and we talk on the phone almost every night. Half of the time she ruins my nights sleep by hitting my soft spots, and the other half of the time I am just plain bored with her and not even listening to what she is saying. Why do I feel the need to keep her in my life? How do I accept that she is a negative in my life? HOW DO I GET RID OF HER??? The only reason that I havent told her to f-off is because I'm too nice.

Looks like you only told us the half of the story.To my knowledge and experience tells me that she wanted to drop you before.She knows you very well, which is normal.She knows your weaknesses more than you do.She is taking advantage of your weak spots to make you sorry.She is not doing this to get you back, but to make you feel more pathetic and make you repent for losing her.
You have nothing to gain from this 'late-night-conversation' thing.You are always losing....one thing or another.It is time to forget and move on.You still want her because you don't have another girl.If you had one, you could spend all your energy to make her( the new one) happy.
If you are too scared to lose her even now, there is nothing anyone can do.If that the case, you deserve to be treated the way you are treated now.
If my suggestion counts, don't call her.Ask her not to call/contact you.Look for another girl so that you can forget her.

Yeah, grow a pair of balls and stop accepting calls/ block her ass...use this philosophy- do not hang around/ associate with people who treat you like crap, it seriously just brings you down man...and by the way, you could probably do much better than her anyway!

You might still be in the delusion of all the good things about her and in the other side of your mind, you might be feeling bored of her, with the perception that she'll not be the one as before anymore.

The best thing is to give yourself a break, and get away from her from any means. Keep yourself away from every single thing that pulls you back to her. No doubt you can overcome this state of mind though it seems it's gonna last a lifetime (it is indeed a misconception felt so strong).

You will get a deserving girl soon, as soon as you keep yourself from hurting yourself for this reason.

Dude...the best way to forget is not to have contact with her at all. If you keep in touch with here, you will hear her voice everyday that will bring all the memories back to you. I did that and I am happy guy now. I forgot about her in a month....I deleted all the mails that she wrote, threw all the photos of her and me......i didn't keep anything that would bring any of her memories........I made myself busy concerntrating in work and reading books....she now seems like long gone history to me now and I feel really good not to have any attachment to anybody ( and I am not looking further to have any either in near future)......above all don't be alone so that you will have time to wonder and ponder in the memories (...dang...too many "memories" here)....
