how many of us have ploughed field? the women in the picture are doing very hard work. i bet they had prepared food in the morning, done all the household work, made some food for afternoon and came there. its amazing to see how hardworking these women are. they hardly complain about their life, they will be happy if they could get food everyday and spend reasonable life. from the pic, it is clear that is is some hilly area with no electricity and they need to walk a lot of distance for water too. this is how most of our fellow country men/women are living in rural areas.

To each to their own. Generalization is inevitable; nonetheless, logic should be applied. Afno ta gulegulzar nai nakkali cha ra mehanati pani :p. Did i get the best of both worlds? Ah... the sweet pain. ;) Did I just said cha? hehe.

Peachy wrote: "People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. I regret, you refused to understand. The top picture is what Nepalese are going through. The women are ploughing the field not because they are willing to do so but men (yeah) have been either displaced or killed or recruited by the insurgents and they are left with no choice to SURVIVE. Highfly, On the contrary, certain sector of the population are enjoying their prosperous life and have time and money to do make ups and pose in front of the camera. I am not against that..I rather enjoy watching them. Women, by nature are beautiful and they always want to be more beautiful externally and internally and appealing for various reason (socially and scientifically). So, I do not mean to say, they should not be wearing make ups. If you understood that, Well, I regret, for your indifference. Yes life is unfair. There are difference everywhere. There are class acts every where. There are discreminations every where. The balance is unfairly tipped to one side and the desparity. Hopefully, the situation will change. I have to salute those ploughing women who chronologically, look lot more older than their counterparts who use fake means to look younger, but more stronger physiologically and mentally. BTW, ploughing by women was considered to be "anista" (correct me in this)

None of the people in the above picture nor any one of ordinary human beings had a choice as to who they would be born to. Neither did their parents wanted that specific person to be their child. So, who we are born to and thus where we are born and also when we are born is purely a matter of the most unknown chance. And I think that atleast 70% of who we are depends on who we were born to. Hence, how a person is living at present is mostly a consequence of pure chance. There is no point in either blaming or crediting anything particular for the condition of an individual. Although the future of a mass may be modified by human efforts the fate of an individual is inevitable; so discussion about individuals is pointless. And also one should look beyond the cover. Each person has the same capacity to feel the joy of life - through sex...by seeing their progeny do better than them...by seeing their condition improve every year etc. Although the above might not fit in perfectly with the above context and the flow of this thread I decided to post it anyways as something to keep in mind.

Tero dai, You are right in saying its our fate to be born to our parents. All those who responded to this thread seem to be from the more beautiful side of the world and Its not unnatural to see your kind of reaction when you have no experience or refuse to understand the other side. The irony is in the kantipuonline.com... Read this if you want to know little bit about the unfortunate side.. http://www.kantipuronline.com/Nepal/aabaran.php

Thapap, I would have, provided that I succeed to conjure anything beside gazillion boxes within the excel sheets. Trust me, it's not even funny. I knew it would be so. They told me - I believed - even then, could not avoid. Such is life. :) ------------------------------------------------------------- I quipped, "Afno ta gulegulzar nai nakkali cha ra mehanati pani :p. Did i get the best of both worlds? Ah... the sweet pain. ;) " Srish said, "Is like saying: If rape is inevitable, enjoy it. (personally, I dont buy it !) " Now, is it me who failed to rationalize your statement Srish, or is it you who understood more than there was in mine? Not that I am explicitely implying that I 'have' or do not (nakkali and mehenati gulegulzar ;)), but how did you conjectured that I was totting in the line of , " if rape is enevitable, enjoy it." Beats me. IndisGuise:)

Now, is it me who failed to rationalize your statement Srish, or is it you who understood more than there was in mine? To be honest, it seems, I am the one who understood more than what you said.
