hey ya'll, i know most of us thought that we will go back to nepal " once the situation gets better",atleast i have, but when do you think that will happen ? all we do is complain that the situation in nepal is bad , there is no future .Imagine if we have problems in our personal /home/family life would we desert our family and run away from them and wait for it to get better , or try to fix the problem? then why are we reluctant to go back to our country and do the same . Is the youth of today to blame as much as the corrupt poliitians /maoist /king for the current situation in our country ? everyone in the country is trying to leave and desert our country in it's darkest hour, the well educated ,the reseanable and all we seem do is complain, complain and complain.Don't we see that in order for the situation in nepall to improve the people need to be well educated , the country needs to have a good economy and there needs to be better security and better oppertunity, and in order to do all this the educated youth NEED to be in the country not outside , it seem slike we are on a deadlock here! What do you guys/gals think of this? Common i know it's a little serious for sajha ,but giv eit a try. chao

I know that like you, I harbour hopes of being able to go back after a while. I do believe that it is important for the youth- irrrespective of their education levels to go back and try and make a positive difference in any way they can. Having said that, I don't know if it is absolutely necessary that one has to be on the ground in Nepal to effecutate the change that is so desperately needed. I'm thinking of organizations like CRY (Child Relief and You) and ASHA for Education, both are organizations that were started in the U.S by Indians who left India and came to the U.S in search of jobs/education. Having completed education and being successful in getting jobs, they strated a avery concerted effort to do the work that was needed. Both organizations are largely run by donations made to them by Non Resident Indians. My point is that yes, there is more that one can do by being in Nepal and there is noting like being on the ground to know what the reality of the situation is, but, not everyone has the ability and the option to go back and that should not be a factor that stops people from wanting and being able to help.

if you really want to do something for the nation you necessarily need not to be in KTM. +tively or -tively ..Maoists leaders are not in Nepal for almsot 8 years of their 10 years ..underground ..and they are working for Nepal. I do not mean to tell you they are doing good for the nation what i mean here you can something for the nation being away ... of course, every body wants to be back to have good life in Nepal.

I did see the feelings of u all, I appreciate those feelings. Well I m here in Nepal and trying to do whatever i can to keep the faith. Regarding being here or there. I believe it should be in the heart. one can do whatever from there also.. being here physically will be so much better but doesn't mean that u should abandon what u guys doing there. after all, i dont know, i have a feeling that whateever u guys do out there will ultimately make it up for Nepal.. u guys work your ass off to make it up to the family to make them stand here in nepal. If u earn better u will invest in Nepal, u learn better u will invest that in nepal, u experience better u will invest that in Nepal. So, this is my personal feelings, no hard feeling for anything. I feel wherever u are, u are a nepali, and today or tomorrow u will do for nepal. I hope i did say what i mean to say.. no hard feelings. thanks

Yes I would but only after my kids are grown up and I am left with empty nest. Right now Nay..... There is nothing Nepal can offer me for now, I am a Professional, not a business man or Politician. Lot of my frens have returned just to live in the slum or father's money which neither my father has nor would I enjoy even if he had it. I am all set in the States, Extremely Compensated Job, House in SF, Japanese Girlfriend, and best of all the whole circle I hang out with. Go back to nepal, there's non there, cannot say no to Maobadis if they put a gun on my butt and ask for all the Dollars, nor say no to all the corrupt Administrators if I want to do anything, even Driving License is not available without money. Be honest, tell me one name who has learned driving and got License like you get out here in states. No one, either its some 'Power' or 'money' to get license, its so corrupt. Its a shit-hole for now, it will take time to flush out all the filth. I am waiting for the time. Does not seem I can make it soon. Best I can do is I have money, and hella lot of money so best I will do is provide money to all these organizations to help poor people out. I am not stupid to go back and think that my going back is gonna do some shit to Nepal, I cant afford it, who's gonna pay for my gas? My Cocktails? My Ride? My ... whatever.. U know what I mean...... LOL

Good posting. Yes, it is true. Nepal needs more Educated and skillfull people to develope Nepal and find solution in Nepal. But.... Here is another side effect problems. 95% Nepalese those who went to abord for education or some other reason, they came from Nepali criminals and corrupted families. So these people do not have any love and patriotism of Nepal. They have no interest of situation Nepal because these people or their family created these bad situation of Nepal. Why should they worry about? So, Why should they go back to fix the problem? These crooks do not have heart and mind for Nepal. That is a side effect.
