Mark, a friend of mine from United Kingdom, walked straight into my living room with his shoes on. I was surprised and shocked, angered and left frustrated. I was looking at the dirt marks made by his shoes on the brand new, shining carpet that stretched to the four corners of the floor. He realized my intense looks. Without any hesitation he asked, “Hey, is there something wrong?”

I forgot to add something...
I was staring at the sign outside my door"We Welcome your soul, not your shoes". Is it still there or am I under illusion? I couldn't figure it out. All sorts of things were running all over my mind. My lovely carpet...it hurts me.
