Hey friends I was wondering how we Nepali living abroad are thinking about contributing something to Nepal and people there. There could be tons of ways to help motherland. The individual contribution can be huge or small, temporary or sustainable, but the impact can be remarkable and we would be proud of it. Throw your idea that you truly want to contribute for Nepal. HOW DO YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE FOR BETTER NEPAL? Please answer this question if you want to contribute. Please do not criticize or put any impractical statements here.

I can open a scholarship in my name to support a talented but financially left-behind kid in the remote school of Nepal. Then the kid can go to a better school and get better education.

I can stay home and worry about Nepal all the time.. Just kiddin broda. well we can open a school in some remote place in nepal and educate the kids. Hire teachers and send money from here for operation and teachers salary. And we can also open a cafeteria in school to provide lunch for children for free. Healthy food, and that way many kids will come to school because of free food.

Educating the nepali people first.........The need is very important.....Lets get the nepalese people more educated.....How can we do this..........build schools in the remote places of our nation........As us being NRN's we should be able to contribute money to build small schools in various parts of NEPAL......Do you agree? jainepali

This is embarrassing to know that a few sajhians are worried about their people. The varieties of posts in sajha reflect the interests of people. Ramro kam ko bisayema chintan manan garne koi rahencha yo sajha ma. Kehi creative work garum na sajhaians haru, sadhai kati nanathari ka kura garna matra tamsine? We cannot change the nation overnight, but we can have some useful thoughts!!! It's not necessary you will accomplish your idea, your idea can be useful tool to the other who cannot think of a good way to help people. So, isn't it a good idea to share our thoughts in SAJHA.

FoST is a Nepalese organization, founded by Mr. Sanu Kaji Shrestha, and run by Nepalese volunteers. They have just won $10.000 in the prestigious global competition, The World Challenge 2007, organized by BBC World, Shell and Newsweek. With more than a 1000 participants from around the world, it is a fantastic achievement for this small Nepalese organization to be runner up! With simple, cheap but very effective solutions they are targetting problems such as pollution, poverty, waste and garbage, deforestation, high fuel costs, illnesses caused by indoor air pollution, illnesses caused by contaminated water.... They are educating and empowering poor communities, women and special groups and outcasts in Nepal. This small Nepalese organization is becoming an example to many countries in the world. If you also want to be a part of this, maybe help us by fundraising, volunteering or make a donation so that we can focus even more on our efforts, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can find our contact details and email addresses on http://www.fost-nepal.org/ or on my personal website: http://www.gorpproductions.com/ Sandra Wijnveldt
