Kantipur Report

KATHMANDU, May 31 - Maoist Chairman Prachanda has warned Kantipur Publications of serious consequences if it continued to criticize his party.

“Now we will no longer tolerate criticism as we have already been elected by the people,” the Maoist chief said while addressing a mass meet organized by his party at the Open Air Theater on Friday.

“You (journalists from Kantipur Publications) did well to continuously criticize the Maoists before the [10 April CA] elections. Else, the polls would not have taken place at all.”  Prachanda further said, “But we will no longer tolerate such things because we have become the largest party”.

When will we stop complaining? In every steps of life it has been a habit of complaining. Oh life is been a hell in Nepal-complain. No water in the tap- another complain. Load shedding every now and then-complain. Urggg-ktm ma kasto traffic jam-arko complain. Teacher complains student not doing their homework. Student complains teacher not being so sporty. Maobadi complains king being dictator. King complains maobadi being terrorist. 2007 saal we had a complain against rana regime, 2046 saal we had a complain against panchayati system, 2065 we have a complain against whole monarchy being the road block of development. Now above that all after the election Prachanda has a complain against not only the journalist who are against them, but the entire political party who are not with them. Why do we have this mentality that who are not with us means that they are against us. There are different political parties, different human rights association, many journalists, but what are the motives of all?  Isn't it peace and development? Isn't every one looking forward for peace and development of the country??? I am just surprised or say awkward to see political parties fighting each other for a power struggle like who is taking over prime minister or president where as the motive of all is to develop the country. Why can't we all work together and be more flexible for the betterment of the country if the power struggle is for the development of the country. It's been pretty long complaining about each other. Recently what I see in every news now and then is Ex-terrorist of Nepal urf future president\prime minister of Nepal Mr. Prachanda complaining that being the largest party they deserve the entire power from president to prime Minster of the state. Why does he complain about peoples mandate every now and then that people has chosen them as the ruler of the country where as it's merely about 37% of vote mandate has been for them. Why does he forget there are still 63% of population of Nepal who are against them or doesn’t like them and they can go against them any time if they don’t prove them self this time.

Reading this below statement;

Due to the foolishness of Gyanendra, republic has been established. If the NC and UML also continue demonstrating their foolishness, people's republic will be established," Prachanda said.

I just can't believe if NC and UML and the 7 parties hadn't been foolish enough and hadn't support Maoist against Gyanendra, they would be still struggling in arms conflict somewhere else in ropla and dolpa. Instead of being thankful for 7 political parties for giving them an opportunity for the freedom of speech and even to fight for the election, they do is keep on bashing and complaining against them or eliminating them. Now isn't that autocratic or dictatorship. There's a saying "Every dog has its day" so when it is your day "Be good or be Gone". Or there is always a reminder that still 63% of people are not with you though they may not be against you but..........if not….
