Anyway i be soon filing for my OPT but on the application form at line 9, it is stated that i have to declare my

SSN. The problem is that i have used my SSN to work off-campus and without getting authoization.

Therefore would this have any consequences regarding getting my Employment Authorization Document(EAD) for my OPT.

Please let me know what i should do.

Is it better to leave the line 9 BLANK or declare my SSN anyway.

I assume some of you have encountered this problem. Please let me know.

You'll be fine....Most Nepalese people work off campus using SSN and nobody have had any problem till now.

 

It's not a problem. I have used SSN and many others have used SSN in their EAD applications. I've heard any problems so far..Good luck!

correction: "I've NOT heard any problems... " in my last post.

if u leave anything blank , you won't get ur ead. they will have u redo it and take their sweet time. don't do that mistake man..

Don't worry. You can put your SS#. I did the same and I did got my EAD card without any problem.

Dont leave it blank
