Dear sajha basi folks, I am planning to travel to Seattle area around mid January. Can you guys suggest me what are the things that I need to do while I am there? Points of ineterests around that area. I will be flying from NY to seattle and rent a car at the airport. The plan is to just visit places, take some pictures, hang out, etc. During the roadtrip, we'll be staying at motels which seems reasonable around $60 per night along the way. Can you guys suggest some recommendations or activities over those places? The trip is for about 3 and a 1/2 days. Will be in Seattle around mid day Thursday and leave on Monday. So far I am planning to visit Space needle and have dinner around the harbor area on Thursday. Wanted to go to Mt Rainier but will probably be cold around mid Jan. So, the plan so far is on: Friday- go to Olympia and visit the city and see whats out there. Then go to Centralia/Chehalis area and stay there. Next day go to Portland and drive back to Seattle. Travel experts, please let me know if there is any activity that I can accomplish during the trips around the area. If somebody has some suggestions please respond.

You can't do much if you are coming in winter season. Washington state is like a heaven in summer and hell in winter. Basically you will get only rain if you want to visit in winter.
You can visit snoqualmie fall . The view is awesome. You can also visit BOEING field where you can learn how to make a boeing plane . The downtown view from alki beach also nice. You can also visit deception pass which is very beautiful. You can also visit facebook office which is just opened few months back. If you are fan of ski, there are plenty of ski resorts open during winter season. There are other things to do in Washington but again there will be always rain rain and rain.
